Editing Techniques

Within the first minute of our A2 production there are many different editing techniques that are used to keep the audience engaged in our music video, we used this different techniques so that the audience don't get bored of watching our video and are always engaged.

The first shot is of Harrison with the urban environment as his background, i decided that it would be a good idea to have a focus on Harrison for the establishing shot of the music video. This shot is achieved making the camera focus on the target, I placed my hand in-front of the camera so that it focused on my hand then quickly cut to Harrison as the camera was focused on my hand as close range it therefore needed to focus on Harrison who is far away from the camera creating this effect.

I thought that this would be a great way of establishing Harrison and also the urban environment behind him. Although this wasn't completed during post production I still thought that it was a great effect to use to engage the audience into the music video.
