CD Cover - Research

These are some examples of CD covers that have inspired me and partner into decided what out CD was going to look like. Me and my partner have decided that we will be splitting our front CD cover into four different sections, similar to the pictures above however as the CD covers above have no similarities to the genre of my music video,  me and my partner will need to adapt our CD cover o that the audience are able to relate to our CD cover. We also need to make sure that out CD cover has similarities to our video production we may include references from out actual music video this could be stills of the video or lyrics.

CD Cover -Planning

After taking loads of images of Harrison and Nick in the studio, we then began to decide what the structure of the CD cover was going to look like, the initial idea was that the front cover would be split into four different sections each with the characters appearing twice. They would then be looking at each other in a clockwise manner.

The reason why we choose to use this technique was so that it relates back to our song of being unorthodox, we didn't just want to have the two characters standing still on our front cover we wanted to do something that hasn't been done before or would stand out from other CD covers. The location also relates back to our music video as we used it in our video production.

Above is what we hope our music video to look like, there are a number of effects that we need to do in photoshop such as removing the logo on Nicks t-shirt so that it is plain. Also we need to add the song title and the artists names.  Although this was our initial idea we still hope to have other ideas which are different to this one so that we have a wide selection.
